1- Leads. This is the number one challenge for network marketers. We need to be able to find leads every day. They need to be targeted leads, leads that actually have an interest in what we have to offer.
Solution: There has been a paradigm shift in marketing. The old methods of cold calling, chasing friends and family, home parties are dying out. In comes the new “attraction marketing”.
This means that you will market in a way that people will come to you. Leads will be attracted to you and your offer. Brand yourself as an attractive marketer.
2- The Follow Up. This is a self imposed problem. So many marketers fail to follow up with their leads, or their team members.
Solution: Most marketers use an autoresponder and message their people on a regular basis. This way you can send one message to thousands of contacts in your list that have shown an interest in your offer.
The secret? Don’t spam your list. Always give value, be respectful. Learn HOW to write to your list to get the best results. When you write to your list, you are branding yourself.
Ask yourself if you are creating loyal followers, or bored readers, who delete your message as soon as they see who it’s from?
3- Training. When you enroll a person into your business, they have to be trained. So many people join a company and then are left on their own, not having a clue what the next steps should be.
Offer to help them. Don’t just enroll someone, and then leave them hanging out there. This is one of the biggest complaints of new enrollees “I am not getting any help”.
Solution: Have a system in place of the exact steps you want to teach your team. Also have a schedule in place for contacting every new team member to teach them these steps. And follow through. This includes training for all methods, systems and tools made available by the company. Plus train them HOW to navigate their own “back office”.
Make sure they know that you are there to help them fulfill their dreams. Be sure to acknowledge all successes of your team.
4- Marketing Tools. The problem is that many marketers do not take the time to learn and understand about the tools and help available to them. Every network marketing company has their own tools and methods and systems for marketing their product and business opportunity.
Solution: Learn all about these yourself. Learn about every single tool, method and system that your company offers. Learn how to navigate your back office. And then you need to teach your team to do the same.
5- The Network Marketing Industry Is Sadly Lacking In Credibility. This is a big problem.
Solution: Do your due diligence. Research the company and then the person you will be joining under… Once signed up, it is almost impossible to change over to a different “upline”. Guard your own integrity with a vengeance.
